Northend United 3 Glentoran 3 Friday 12th December 2025

Northend United flew out of the blocks and took the lead inside 90 seconds when captain Jaxon Adams found the net. The early goal set the tone, with Northend continuing to apply pressure and doubling their advantage through Ruairi Walker.

Glentoran responded with a well-worked goal following some slick passing, but Northend raised the intensity again and restored their two-goal cushion. Once more it was Walker, who was a constant menace down the left-hand side throughout the game, grabbing his second to make it 3–1.

As the game entered the final stages, Glentoran pushed hard and, with around five minutes remaining, struck twice to level the score and earn a share of the spoils.

Both teams deserve great credit for an entertaining and competitive match. Full time 3-3

Northend United 1 Andersonstown Hawks 2 Saturday 13th December 2025

The game started brightly for both sides, with much of the early play flowing down the wings. Northend came close twice through Ruairí Walker, who struck the post early on and narrowly missed again shortly after. He then combined brilliantly with Tadhg McCann, who slotted the ball home—only for the goal to be ruled out for offside.

A.C.F.C eventually took the lead with a heavily deflected effort that left goalkeeper William Porter with absolutely no chance.Half time 0-1

Trailing 1–0 at the break, Northend came out battling. Their pressure paid off when Tadhg McCann produced the pass of the match, splitting the defence to find Jaxon Adams, who drilled the ball into the bottom corner to level the score.

Northend looked the more likely to snatch a winner, but it was A.C.F.C who struck next. Late on, Oisín Goodall made a superb goal-saving clearance to keep Northend in the game, and in the dying moments the woodwork came to A.C.F.C’s rescue as Northend pushed for an equaliser. Full time 1-2

Northend United 4 St Patricks B 4 Friday 28th November 2025

Northend United flew out of the traps, with Liam Liddy latching onto a clever pass before blasting the ball into the bottom corner to open the scoring. The lead was doubled soon after when Conor McGarry rose highest from a corner to power home a header and make it 2–0.

However, a lapse in concentration proved costly as Northend conceded four goals in a frantic seven-minute spell before the break.

After the restart, Northend showed real character. Liam Liddy struck again to pull the score back to 4–3, and the momentum continued to build. Their threat from set pieces paid off once more when the ball dropped to Liddy, who teed up Ollie O’Kane. O’Kane unleashed a thunderous strike to level the game at 4–4.

Northend pushed hard for a winner and struck the woodwork twice late on, but the decisive goal just wouldn’t come. Full time 4-4

Northend United 5 Belfast Celtic Cubs 1 Friday 21st November 2025

Northend United started on the front foot from the opening whistle, with Liam Liddy finding the net inside the first three minutes—only for the early strike to be ruled out for offside. After a slightly sluggish spell from both sides, Northend broke the deadlock when Ruairi Walker calmly slotted home the opener.

The Blues built on their momentum, with Liam Liddy deservedly getting his goal to make it 2–0. Not long after, Walker produced a moment of real brilliance, unleashing a stunning 25-yard screamer that left the goalkeeper with no chance.

Northend continued to dominate, and Conor McGarry added a superb fourth, weaving past three defenders with outstanding footwork before finishing clinically. Christian Holba then wrapped up the scoring for Northend with a well-taken goal to make it 5–0. Belfast Celtic pulled one back late on, but it was little more than a consolation.Full time 5-1

Northend United 2 Knockbreda 2 Saturday 5th November 2026

Northend dominated the match from the off, showcasing some of their best football of the season. With precise passing from the back through the midfield, they carved open the defence – and Conor McGarry made them pay, firing Northend into the lead.

Knockbreda responded well, capitalising on a corner to pull level. But Northend weren’t done: their passing game remained slick, and they created another chance that found the feet of Hugh McClintock, who coolly slotted it into the bottom corner to put Northend ahead again.

Despite their dominance, Northend conceded an own goal late on, allowing Knockbreda to snatch a draw. All in all, it was a deserved point for Northend, who arguably had the better of the game. Full time 2-2

Northend United started brightly and had St. Patrick’s on the back foot early on, striking the woodwork before taking a deserved lead through Ruairi Walker, who finished superbly into the bottom left corner. The visitors continued to press for a second and were unlucky to see another effort come back off the crossbar.

St. Patrick’s found an equaliser before the break, and after a slow start to the second half, they took advantage of a lapse in concentration from Northend to tap home their second. The hosts finished strongly, adding a third to seal the result.

It wasn’t to be for Northend this time around, despite a strong and spirited display. Full time 1-3

Northend United 2 Bangor Juniors 2 Saturday 19th October 2025

A fiercely contested encounter ended in a hard-fought 2–2 draw between Bangor and Northend United.

Northend started brightly and took the lead on the 7th minute through Liam Liddy, who capitalised on a quick break. Moments later, Northend thought they had doubled their advantage, but the goal was ruled out for offside.

Bangor responded well, controlling the midfield and creating several chances. Their persistence paid off as they found a well-deserved equaliser midway through the half. However, Northend regained the lead shortly after, with Liddy again finding the net in the 22nd minute, finishing off a swift attacking move.

The second half saw Bangor turn up the pressure, pushing Northend back for extended periods. Their attacking efforts were eventually rewarded a second goal to level the match. Full time 2-2

Northend United 5 Andersonstown Hawks 0 Saturday 11th october 2025

Northend United cruised to a convincing 5-0 victory over Andersonstown Hawks in a game that sparked into life midway through the first half.

After a quiet opening, the deadlock was broken in the 19th minute when Conor McGarry unleashed a thunderbolt into the right corner, giving the goalkeeper no chance. Just seven minutes later, Liam Liddy provided a well-weighted assist to Hugh McClintock, who coolly placed his shot into the roof of the net to double the lead.

Momentum remained firmly with Northend, and they made it 3-0 on 29 minutes when McGarry grabbed his second of the match with another clinical finish.

The highlight of the 2nd half came in the 43rd minute when Liam Liddy nutmegged his marker before slipping a clever pass through to Oisín Goodall. Not to be outdone, Goodall then nutmegged the onrushing keeper to score a spectacular fourth.

Just a minute later, Ruairí Walker capped off the scoring with a fine solo effort, beating multiple defenders before calmly finishing. Full time 5-0

Northend United 4 Greencastle Rovers 1 Friday 26th September 2025

Northend United produced a dominant performance in a scrappy affair to secure a 4–1 win over Greencastle Rovers.The game sparked into life when Conor McGarry opened the scoring with a superb strike that left the Greencastle goalkeeper rooted to the spot. Northend doubled their lead shortly after, as Christian Holba showcased impressive footwork before slotting home a composed finish.

Northend continued to press and were rewarded before the break. Ruairi Walker used his blistering pace to break down the left wing and beat the keeper at his near post with a smart finish. Half time 3-0

Greencastle Rovers responded with a stunning goal of their own – a powerful strike into the top corner that gave the Northend keeper no chance.

However, Northend had the final say, with Conor McGarry bagging his second of the day, once again leaving the keeper helpless to seal a deserved win. Full time 4-1

Northend United 6 Belfast Celtic Cubs 0 Friday 19th September 2025

Northend United burst out of the blocks in stunning fashion, taking the lead within seconds of the kick-off. Liam Liddy set the tone, stealing possession straight from Belfast Celtic’s kickoff, gliding past two defenders, and coolly slotting the ball into the bottom corner.

The early pressure continued, and it wasn’t long before Conor McGarry doubled the lead with a superbly struck free-kick, curling the ball over the wall and into the net.

Ruari Walker then added a sensational third, picking up the ball at the halfway line, weaving past three players with dazzling footwork, and rifling a shot past the helpless keeper.

McGarry wasn’t done yet. After intercepting a loose pass in midfield, he drove straight at the heart of the Celtic defence, beating the last man and calmly finishing one-on-one for Northend's fourth.

Oisin Goodall made it five, latching onto a precise through ball and finishing effortlessly, showing great composure.

The scoring was rounded off by Liam Liddy, who capped off a fantastic individual performance by rising highest to meet a corner and heading home Northend’s sixth.Full time 6-0
