Northend United vrs Strangford   Saturday 8th December 2018

Saturday saw the United sided play Strangford FC in the 11am ko in Lisburn. Missing a few players due to exams and sickness the team started with the impressive Andrezej in nets, a back three of the tough tackling Reuben Skelly, captain Jamie Gregg and the very reliable Danny Hector. The midfield was mixed up this week with Ryan McClintock on the left, man of the match Jack in the middle and Barti Pluta out right leaving a front two partnership of Kevin McGillian and Aodhán McGarry

From the kick off, Northend pressed Strangford and this continued throughout the match. The defence was being well marshalled by Reuben in the middle allowing Danny and Jamie to play from the back. Jack was very impressive and worked tirelessly in midfield allowing Barti and Ryan McClintock to attack on the wings feeding the ball through to Kevin and Aodhán who caused the Strangford defence many problems.

After the half time team talk Ryan O'Boyle was introduced to the game and this allowed the boys to take control of the play. The game had everything with goals, saves and fast flowing football allowing supporters to go home happy.
