Northend United 2 Warrenpoint Town 3   Saturday 19th January 2019

Northend started well and played great football putting Warrenpoint under pressure from the whistle. A goal was coming as Northend was threatening Warrenpoint goal mouth. This duly came as Termonia whipped a ball across to Maguire on the right wing where she controlled and fired home. McDonald and McIlhatton controlled the midfield while Termonia and Maguire was making good runs on the wings. The back 3 off Bell, Maka and Campbell were dealing with the Warrenpoint attacks. Northend made it 2 nil as McIlhatton headed home from a Termonia corner. Warrenpoint scored from a corner but was well offside.
Northend dominated first half creating chances and probably should off had another goal.  Half time 2-0

Into the second half and Crooks replaced Maguire. Warrenpoint came out, sending long balls into the Northend half, and putting the Blues defence under pressure. The border club scored from a corner when Northend failed to clear their lines. Northend players struggled to keep hold of ball and Warrenpoint scored from another free kick. Northend created nothing second half and Warrenpoint took advantage of another free kick on edge of the Northend box with only 2 minutes remaining left, which was duly despatched into the top corner, giving Glass, in the Blues nets, no chance

Northend United 0 Cliftonville 2    Saturday 5th Januart 2019

Northend started on the back foot, letting Cliftonville dictate the pattern of play. The Belfast Reds went 1 up on 12 minutes and continued to dominate the game for the rest of the half. Calvin Termonia and Lewis McDonald came on left and right midfield just before half time.  Northend came more into the game and shot a couple past the post in the final minutes of the half. Half time 0-1

Into the second half and Northend started getting more into play but with Cliftonville having 4 and 5 defending, found it hard to break down. Again, sloppy defending left it 2 nil to the Reds. Calvin Termania headed just over the bar from a corner as Northend piled on the pressure. Termania hit free kick just over the bar. Robert Crooks had a good chance in the box but delayed in getting his shot away and the defender made a clearance. Full time 0-2
