Northend United 1 Windmill Stars 1 Saturday 23rd February 2019
Northend started the game well and a good Lewis McDonald delivery from an early corner was headed wide by Billy McNeill. Northend continued to dominate but fell behind in the ninth minute. Windmill seized on a poor touch in defence and a through ball found the striker in the clear. As Northend appealed for offside the striker kept his composure and gave Dylan Glass no chance. Northend worked their way back into the game with good work rate from Peter Finnegan and Robert Crooks on the wings and Lewis McDonald up front. Their dominance paid off after 18 minutes when Lewis McDonald scored from fifteen yards. The remainder of the half followed a similar pattern with Northend in control but Windmill being dangerous on the break. Peter Finnegan brought a good save from the Windmill keeper while Dylan Glass was at full stretch to keep the score at 1-1 at half time.
Oliwer Maka came off at half time with Matthew Bell going to left back, Robert Crooks moving to centre midfield and Calvin Termonia coming on to the left wing. Northend continued to enjoy most of the game but found it tough to break down a strong Windmill defence. Gary Kenny came on up front when Charlie McIlhatton was injured but he was unable to score when one on one with the goalkeeper. Other chances came from corners with Lewis McDonald's delivery excellent throughout but Northend could not find a winning goal. The Northend defence of Campbell, McNeill and Bell kept the dangerous Windmill forwards at bay but late in the game Windmill broke forward and Dylan Glass made a brilliant double save to keep the score at 1-1.
A good team performance by Northend but, as in several matches this season, they were not clinical enough in the final third.

Enzo United 4 Northend United 3 Saturday 16th February 2019
Northend started playing very well moving the ball well. Against the run off Enzo scored with their big striker back healing around Crooks in nets for a great super finish. Two minutes later Enzo scored again when Maka left the ball for Crooks to collect, he didn't move for it and the big striker ran in and tapped the ball in. Not long after McNeil won the ball, passed back to the keeper Crooks wee bit slow to come for it but did manage to block the first shot before it ended up in the net.
Northend were moving the ball well but unfortunately Kenny was not able to stick the ball in the net with a couple of good chances. Half time 3-0
With no attacking players on the bench, Northend were limited in their changes. Campbell came on in defence with Bell moving into midfield and McDonald striker. This made a massive change in the game with Northend winning their battles and McDonald giving Enzo defenders a nightmare. Bell and McIlhatton were dominating midfield and playing the ball into the forwards. However, as Northend playing high to get back in the game, they were caught with another long ball to leave the score 4-0. Northend continued to press forward and Bell hit a lovely shot just over the bar. The same player then hit the same shot just over the keeper's head into the net cracker goal 4-1.
Game was changing now and Northend were dominating. McDonald slipped Termonia through and he beat the defenders and poked the ball into the net to leave the score 4-2
It was game on and looking like Northend could win this game. McDonald picked up the ball and beat 2 players lifted his head seen the keeper off his line before striking a lovely shot out over his head into the net another cracker goal 4-3. The last five minutes, Northend pushed for the equaliser, and the Enzo keeper made a few saves. With Enzo pegged back in their half, McDonald again got another shot away, and again the keeper saved it into the path of Finnegan, who blazed it over from 2 yards. It wasn't to be Northend's day. Full time 4-3

Northend started well and played great football putting Warrenpoint under pressure from the whistle. A goal was coming as Northend was threatening Warrenpoint goal mouth. This duly came as Termonia whipped a ball across to Maguire on the right wing where she controlled and fired home. McDonald and McIlhatton controlled the midfield while Termonia and Maguire was making good runs on the wings. The back 3 off Bell, Maka and Campbell were dealing with the Warrenpoint attacks. Northend made it 2 nil as McIlhatton headed home from a Termonia corner. Warrenpoint scored from a corner but was well offside.

The border club scored from a corner when Northend failed to clear their lines. Northend players struggled to keep hold of ball and Warrenpoint scored from another free kick. Northend created nothing second half and Warrenpoint took advantage of another free kick on edge of the Northend box with only 2 minutes remaining left, which was duly despatched into the top corner, giving Glass, in the Blues nets, no chance
