Northend United 6 Greencastle Rovers 1 Friday 18th April 2026

It was a busy week with the team over coming Carryduff 4-0 on Wednesday night to set up this semi-final on the Friday v Greencastle 2012. The team started brightly but despite some nice passages of play it was Greencastle who had the first clear chances. Things settled down and goals on the night from Odhran Hardy, Dylan McGarry hat-trick, Odhran Cassidy and Mason King were enough to set up a Cup final against Immaculata. Full time 6-1

Northend United 4 v Ballynahinch Olympic 3 Saturday 4th April 2026

Friday night saw the last league game of the season when the team travelled to Paisely Park Belfast to play Ballynahinch Olympic 2012. Knowing a draw would mean a playoff or victory would win the league outright the bumper crowd would not be disappointed.

The team started well with the midfield of Alfie, Odhran, Joe and Iona passing the ball well and creating chances for Dylan and Adrian up top. Odhran played a pass into Alfie and his first time pass found Dylan who would cleverly chip over the keeper to make it 1-0. The back four of Shane, Eoghan, Charlie and Philip were being well marshalled by Corey in nets. The team created some great chances but it would be Ballynahinch Olympic who would equalise when a corner wasn’t cleared. However it wasn’t long before they took the lead after good work from Dylan, Adrian was on hand to score.Half time 2-1

The second half saw the introduction of Conor into midfield the team continued to move the ball about well and created chances. It was Ballynahinch Olympic who would comeback into the game after an unfortunate OG. This spurred the team on and a thunderous shot from Odhran was knocked onto the post by the keeper only for Dylan to finish. Ballynahinch Olympic continued to look for the equaliser and with ten minutes remaining they found the net. The introduction for Keane now up top added more threat as the team went to find a winner. With minutes left on the clock after great work from Joe, Dylan was able to find space and riffle a shot into the roof of the net to send the travelling support wild.

Great achievement from the team in their first season in the SBYL. The team now look forward to a Cup run.Full time 3-4

Northend United 3 Ards FC Academy 2 Wednesday 25th March 2026

On a wet Wednesday night in Belfast the team travelled to play Ards Academy 2012 at the Hammer Complex. In their second last game of the league, the team knew they needed to win to bring the league into a final game decider. The team started well with the midfield of Shay, Conor, Joe and Iona passing the ball well and creating chances for Dylan and Adrian up top. The back four of Shane, Eoghan, Odhran and Philip were being well marshalled by Corey in nets. The team created some great chances and it wasn’t long before they rushed into a two goal lead with Dylan and Adrian scoring. Ards Academy 2012 pulled one back with a could finish from distance but it was Dylan who would find the net again. Half time 3-1

The second half saw the introduction of Alfie, Fergus, Keane the team continued to move the ball about well and created chances. However, Ards Academy 2012 came back into the game late on to set up a nervy ending but the team held on Full time 3-2

Northend United 7 Bangor Swifts 2 Saturday 21st March 2026

On lovely Saturday morning the team played Bangor Swifts 2012 in Belfast. The team started brightly and took an early lead from a smart finish from Dylan. In a dominate first have the team would finish the half 5-1 to the good, with a hat trick from Dylan and goals from Adrian and Shay. Half time 5-1

The second was a much tighter affair but further goals from Dylan and Philip sealed the win. Full time 7-2

On lovely Saturday morning the team played Greencastle Rovers 2012 in Belfast. The team started brightly and took an early lead from a cool finish from Captain for the day Shay. The second never came until late into the second half when Joe finished from distance. A solid performance from all. Full time 2-0

Northend United 2 Immaculata 3 Saturday 7th March 2026

On lovely Saturday morning the team played Immaculata 2012 in a top of the table clash in Belfast. The team started slowly and could have found themselves 2-0 within the first 5 minutes, but for Corey in nets. However, the breakthrough came when Charlie bounced on an error to score. Immaculata quickly equalised before Charlie was on hand again to make it 2-1 at the break. Half time 2-1

The second half was all about Immaculata who would add two more goals to seal the win. Full time 3-2

On wet Saturday morning the team played Carryduff Colts 2012 on a heavy pitch at Mallusk. The team started brightly and could have found themselves 2-0 within the first 5 minutes, but missed chances was going to be the theme of the day. Carryduff Colts rushed into a 3 goal lead before Joseph pulled one back. Half time 1-3

The second half was much the same and another goal from Joseph wasn’t enough as Carryduff Colts scored their fourth of the day to kill the game off. Full time 2-4

On lovely Saturday morning the team played Coaching for Christ 2012. The team started brightly and could have found themselves 2-0 within the first 5 minutes, but missed chances was going to be the theme of the day. Coaching for Christ took the lead with their first chance and despite numerous chances in both halves for Northend, Coaching for Christ 2012 were able to hold on for the 3 points. Full time 0-1

Northend United 5 Bangor Swifts 4 Saturday 17th January 2026

On lovely Saturday morning in Grove the team played Bangor Swifts 2012. In their first game of 2026, they team started slowly and found themselves 2-0 very quickly. Great work on the right wing by Shay, would create the chance for Dylan to score from close range. The same pair combined again to Dylan to make it 2-2. Half time 2-2

The second half started like the first with Bangor Swifts restoring their two goal lead. But two more goals from Dylan and one from Odhran Cassidy would seal the points. Full time 4-5
