Willowbank 5 Northend United 2 Friday 15th February 2019
Northend came up against high flying and title challenging Willowbank on Friday night on the wrong end of a high scoring game. Willowbank showed their title credentials going 3 up at half time Half time 3-0
Second half Northend really showed improvement and went toe to toe with their City opponents scoring 2 great goals through Tyler Hoey and Chad Shaw and every player putting in a really strong and determined performance.
Considering Northend were a year younger than most of their counterparts this was a real gutsy display by the boys

Ballymacash Rangers 1 Northend United 4 Saturday 9th February 2019
Northend avenged a 3-0 defeat earlier in the season against the same opponents with a convincing win on Saturday. The home team opened the scoring when Aaron Smyth was upended in the box and Aaron Campbell scored from the spot. Ballymacash got back level, fortuitously, the ball going in from a cross helped by a strong wind Half Time 1-1
Northend really took the game by the scruff of the neck second half and regained the lead with a well taken Kieran O'Boyle finish. Aaron Campbell made it 3 direct from a corner and at death Ben Hood got a goal his performance deserved finishing off a great team move. A real gritty performance by the boys against one of the top teams in the league Full time 1-4

Downpatrick 1 Northend United 2 Saturday 19th January 2019
Northend registered their fourth win in a row on Saturday beating a really strong and physical Downpatrick.
The home team dominated the early play and took a 20th minute lead. Northend to their credit never gave up and levelled the match, Aaron Campbell scoring from the penalty spot. Half time 1-1
Downpatrick were having more of the ball but Northend were looking dangerous every time on the counter with O'Boyle and Shaw really stretching the back four. Midway through the half Northend got the winner when Campbell's free kick was headed in by Chad Shaw. The last 15 minutes was back to the wall stuff with Downpatrick throwing everything at Northend but through determination and hard work they came away with all 3 points. A super win for the boys for showing a willingness not to be beat. Full time 1-2

Northend United 2 St Oliver Plunketts 0 Saturday 5th January 2019
Northend started the New Year with a convincing win over Oliver Plunkett to hopefully kick start a good league run.
Against a physical team Northend played some really good football creating enough chances to win more comfortably. Chad Shaw opened the scoring using his pace to get in front of defenders to finish superbly past the keeper. Anything that was coming the other way was being well dealt with by a back four of Jones, McDonald, Frew and Hoey and another assured performance by stand in keeper McCluney. Half time 1-0
Kieran O'Boyle extended Northend's lead half way through the second half and playing on the break the Ballymena boys should have increased their lead but a really encouraging performance to start 2019.
